The one thing you need as an expectant mom!
Don’t get me started, don’t even get me started about what a great resource and community builder Bump Club and Beyond is for new and expectant parents!
I had the pleasure of getting to know Lindsay Pinchuk, founder of Bump Club and Beyond, initially due to hosting many of her events at Bubbles Academy. However, I didn’t truly realize the extent of her super powers until I was expecting my first child. 🙂 As an early childhood educator, I knew a lot about what to expect from baby once she arrived, but I knew nothing about navigating pregnancy and the overwhelming variety of baby products to choose from.
I officially attended my first BCB event last August. My husband and I started off with the big guns at Gearapalooza. This event was a fabulous introduction to everything you need to know about baby gear, strollers, car seats, etc. Based on that event, we picked out our stroller, car seat, bassinet, playard and stocked up on credit at Galt Baby with their special promotion during the event!
Each month, there was another appropriate event to look forward to. In September, I learned about Newborn Sleep Strategies & Safety, October brought tips for managing savings with BCBU – Money Matters. November was a biggie, learning “what to expect during labor and delivery” and in December, my husband and I both attended a full evening dedicated to infant safety (and learned how to properly swaddle. 😉 )
Not to mention, each of these great workshops was preceded by a full dinner and included a goody bag filled with useful products and tips. Here are just a few of the items that were included in goody bags throughout the year that I now use everyday: bottles, swaddle blankets, pacifiers, baby carriers, diaper pail and even a baby bath tub!
I am sure there are many more I’m forgetting as well. Seriously, by last December, I had a huge box filled just with helpful items from BCB events! Their website is also a great resource if you’re not able to make it to an event. I even used BCB’s checklist to pack my bag for the hospital! My baby ended up coming a couple weeks early, so I just missed the workshop on breastfeeding. I had a rough time feeding during those early days, but I found help by looking on BCB’s website to see who they recommended as lactation consultants. That led me to Lactation Partners and much relief!
There are also numerous fitness, social and family fun events each month. Plus, once baby arrives, there is even more to do and learn at New Mom Brunches, Toddler Workshops, Bump Club and Beyond University events, seasonal parties and more! Also, along with your VIP membership, you gain discounts and so many amazing local businesses.
All expectant parents need a community like BCB. If you are lucky enough to live in one of BCB’s cities, then I can’t recommend the BCB VIP Membership enough! –If you’re looking for a great present for a special expectant or new mom, look no further!
Thanks for everything, Lindsay and BCB!
